Portland {Reuters news} An unemployed oregon man who police say used an internet chat room to arrange a mass suicide pact with dozens of people on Feb 14th,has been charged with trying to solicit aggrevated murder.Authorities seized his pc and are scouring it to identify and contact the potential participants in the mass suicide to make sure they are safe, {ohh surely they wouldn't go ahead!} Klamath county sheriff captain Chris Montenaro said "They are doing welfare checks on all of them" he added "there is a very extensive investigation involving a lot of jurisdictions" .Gerald Krien who was charged with solicitation to commit attempted aggrevated murder.He could face 10-30 years in jail.

Participants in the plan appeared to be people who were "unhappy with the date ??? and not happy with thie personal lives" {the mind boggles} Sheriff Montenaro said The police were alerted by a Canadian woman who learned that 1 mother was planning to kill her 2 children and herself! "The chat room was designed for people who were suicidal" Sheriff Montenaro added Krien lives with his parents in the southern Oregon town of Klamath falls.He has no prior contact with the local law inforcement and is being held on a $100,000 {£51,000} bail there is no evidence of any religious or cult following in this group
